on a side note... why the 20 IP minimum threshold for the reliever leaderboard?
because at the time i was writing the register, HAV RHP Dale Martinez had just posted a 0.44 ERA during his 2013 rookie season.

i probably should have used 50 IP as a minimum threshold for the leaderboard, but with the way bbpro uses relievers, not that many guys hit that 50 IP count. since i was lowering it anyway, what value should i choose? 40? 30? Well Dale posted his 0.44 in 20.1 so 20 should be okay, right Smile

i still believe that HAV RHP Billy Garcia had the greatest reliever season in Weaver history. check out his 2000 statline:

Most of the other sub-1 ERA guys logged about 20-30 innings, Billy posted 66.1 IP as well as 75 SO

i thought i was buying low, and selling high... Dale Martinez was originally an early R2 pick in 2009, and I had also drafted RHP Andre Gonzales that same season with a late R1. Both guys had the same profile, 2-pitch relievers with strong fastballs. I had faith in my own scouting (lol) and figured that Gonzales would be able to put up similar numbers, so traded away Martinez to shore up my weak catching (acquring C Danny Hoffman). My loss, Rastas huge gain as Martinez ultimately ended up much better than AG.

Reacquired Dale towards the end of his career from Sydney, he did a great job as a shutdown middle reliever/setup guy before giving way to perennial 30-save closer RHP Willis Teufel, another one of my favorite players.
